National Poster Competition 2024-2025

The Institute of Applied Statistics, Sri Lanka (IASSL) is thrilled to announce the National Poster Competition for 2024-2025!

This exciting competition invites talented school and university students in Sri Lanka to  showcase their creativity and statistical prowess. 

                             

Competition Details:

  • Theme: There is no specific theme or topic requirement. Participants are encouraged to explore statistical concepts and communicate them effectively through their posters.
  • Eligibility: Open to students in Sri Lanka.
    •  Elementary (ages 9 to 11)
    • Lower Secondary (ages 12 to 15)
    • Upper Secondary (ages 16 to 18)
    • University (Bachelor level students before writing their thesis)
  • National Competition: The first phase will be a national competition held within Sri Lanka, organized by IASSL. Students can submit their statistical posters for consideration.
  • International Competition (Organized by ISI): Outstanding posters from the national level will advance to the international competition organized by the International Statistical Institute (ISI).
  • Winners Announcement: The overall winners will be announced at the end of December 2024 at the ISC 2024 conference

Submission Instructions:

  • Submit your completed registration form and poster by September 30, 2024 via an email to [email protected] 
  • Maximum poster size is 10 MB. The font size should be such that if printed in A1, it would be readable from 2 meters (7 feet) away.
