Submission of Membership Application

Duly completed membership application for all categories should be handover/sent to the Institute of Applied Statistics Sri Lanka, The Professional Center, 275/75 Prof. Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka. with the payment applicable for the relevant membership category.

Proposer / Seconder

Applicant must be introduced to the institute by two life members as the proposer and the seconder.

Photographs

One passport size photograph should be pasted in the cage provided for and place your signature on the application form to partly cover the photograph. This should be done in front of the proposer/ seconder. Another passport size photograph (without the signature) should be sent to the IASSL office which will be used for the identity card.

Educational Certificates

A set of certified copies of educational certificates should be attached along with your membership application. The copies should be certified by either the proposer or the seconder who have signed on your membership application.

Work Experience (if necessary)

Valid documents to prove your experience in the field of Statistics should be attached along with your membership application.

NIC / Passport

A certified (either by the proposer or the seconder) copy of NIC (both sides) or Passport (identification page) should also be attached along with your membership application.

Payments

Payments can be made either by cash or cheque drawn in favour of the Institute of Applied Statistics Sri Lanka or directly deposit to the bank (People's Bank Thimbirigasyaya Branch A/C no 086100130008638). If you are paying directly to the bank please be kind enough to fax the deposit slip to the office (Fax no 011 2588291)

Grant Membership

Your membership application will be evaluated by the House & Finance Committee and the Council of the IASSL and membership will be granted subject to the approval of the Council of IASSL.
